The Best Fries in SLC

Sometimes the only thing that will do is a fresh, steaming hot plate of fries. When that hankering strikes, do you have a go-to spot? If you don’t, or if you want to try something new, here’s a list of the best fries in Salt Lake City.

East Liberty Tap House

If you’re looking for a fun atmosphere, try this family-owned tap house. Their mission is to bring us unique, high-quality food, and they buy most of their ingredients from local businesses and farms. The patio is open from the spring through the fall (note that all guests must be at least 21 years old).

Their hand-cut fries are doused in sea salt and served with ketchup and a peppercorn aioli. If you’re feeling more adventurous, try the chorizo fries with queso, pickled jalapenos, lime crema, black bean puree, and cotija cheese.

Oak Wood Fire Kitchen

This light and airy modern restaurant is perfect for a low-key meal. This is the place to go if you’re looking to unwind while eating some delicious fries.

The house fries come skin on, served with garlic aioli and sriracha ketchup, and they’re definitely good. But what you should really try are the junk fries, which come topped with bacon, blue cheese crumbles, caramelized onions, and so-called “awesome sauce.” If you order these, they can be an entire meal.
